I'm Trevor. I'm a lifelong builder of things, both digital and analog. I'm a born skeptic with a curious streak that runs exceptionally deep. Since a young age I have been fascinated by asking, and then answering, the question of why, and then of what happens next.
I studied quantitative economics at the University of Nevada, and built on those principles during my MBA at Santa Clara University in Silicon Valley. For nearly a decade I have focused that curiosity and skepticism on marketing and the underlying dynamics of media. I have built measurement and marketing science teams and operations for clients in the Fortune 100 and for others that dominate national and regional media.
From that seat, I came to see a deep bias running through the marketing and advertising function. It incentivizes nearly every committed stakeholder to grade their own homework and cherry-pick the results. That rarely lands well with the finance and operations leaders inside an organization.
So I set out to build an objective marketing science organization, one deeply committed to measuring each client's growth engine accurately and then helping them surpass their own expectations for it. If that sounds like an exceptional ambition for one person to take on alone, you're right. Dark Wave Marketing Science's bench includes accomplished PhDs and nearshore workhorses. Together we'll build or rebuild your data science and media measurement function, cutting the waste and strengthening the parts that work.
